After becoming interested in the history of the Women’s Liberation Front in Get up!, Jenny Cartwright continues her exploration of local feminist struggles in the podcast We will leave our kitchensdedicated to the Théâtre des cuisines, the first feminist (and Marxist) troupe in Quebec, which is celebrating its 50the birthday. This fascinating chronicle, told by the pioneers of this activist troupe which created plays on abortion, the mental burden and the social inequalities suffered by women, constitutes a revealing history of the evolution of the female condition. All four episodes will be available online on March 16.
