We leave refreshed Soul Chain, a powerful and sensual choreography that oscillates “between ballet and nightclub,” to use the words of the German troupe Tanzmainz, which is making its debut in Montreal. The 17 dancers perform a real physical feat, with a demi-pointe performance throughout most of the show. The hypnotizing techno rhythms of DJ Ori Lichtik draw dancers and spectators into a sort of hour-long trance. A creation by Sharon Eyal and Gai Beha still on display Friday and Saturday at the Maisonneuve theater at Place des Arts.
