Cultural suggestion: “Royal”, the culture of performance

With Royal, the scene is transformed into an arena where a merciless struggle is taking place: the race for internships for law students at the University of Montreal. The adaptation of Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard’s novel plunges us into the performance anxiety of the members of section A, the self-proclaimed elite of society, for whom anything goes in order to be recruited by THE firm. The 10 actors deliver a breathtaking performance, both in their theatrical performance and in the choreographed passages of the play. Much more than theater, the stage object with its surprising staging is a must-see at Duceppe until May 11.
