For almost 20 years, the Montreal company Le Patin libre has been deconstructing the codes of “traditional” figure skating by offering shows that flirt beautifully with contemporary dance. With Murmuring, the troupe, now made up of around fifteen skaters with agile movements and sharp blades, offers an inspired foray into the avian universe by embodying a flock of twirling and hovering birds, sometimes united, sometimes cruel… We come out lighter , although a little cooled (don’t forget your big wool) from this singular and hypnotizing journey. At the Mont-Royal arena until April 21.
