“Where does this tendency to subject ourselves to empty speech come from? » The intimate Montreal venue, arts interculturels (MAI) offers a timely show: in these troubled times when authoritarian leaders impose their law with lies and violence, Nasim Lootij and Kiasa Nazeran, from Vâtchik Danse, deliver with Inconsistency a reflection on the duty of resistance of artists against oppressive regimes – that of Iran, in the case of the duo who arrived in Montreal in 2016.
