Cultural suggestion: “Deciphers”, like an existential crisis in slow motion

The intimate hall of Montreal, intercultural arts lends itself perfectly to the show Deciphers, on display until February 17. The slightest noises emanating from the artists – their breathing, the movements of their bodies twisted in agony and the cracks of the work on paper they manipulate – are part of this enigmatic choreography, which haunts the spectators long after they return home . Dancers Naishi Wang and Jean Abreu combine aspects of Chinese folk dance, Brazilian dances and spoken word. Sometimes it feels like we’re witnessing an existential crisis in slow motion.
