Many artists and productions will be on the road this winter to meet culture lovers across the province. And that’s not counting the original creations that will be presented on the boards in Quebec. Overview of the cultural offer outside Montreal.

Theater: in brief in Quebec

The Trident theatrical season opens on January 24 with spring awakening. This text by David Paquet, freely inspired by the classic from the end of the 19^e century of Frank Wedekind, addresses the sexual desire of adolescents. will follow Never wipe tears without gloves, the adaptation of the very beautiful novel on AIDS by Swedish Jonas Gardell by Véronique Côté, in a staging by Alexandre Fecteau. On the side of La Bordée, we will dive into the female psyche with the piece 34B. Written by Isabelle Hubert and directed by Marie-Josée Bastien, 34B tells the story of Dominion Corset, a factory that has manufactured corsets and women’s lingerie for 100 years. Theater on tour

Several shows created in Montreal are going on tour in Quebec for the next few months. This is the case of the documentary theater play Rose and the machine, which chronicles a mother’s quest to get help for her autistic daughter. Finally, Benoit McGinnis will star in Hedwig and the raging thumb, a musical theater piece adapted and directed by René Richard Cyr. We meet Hedwig, a German singer personified by a man, who tells her story through rock’n’roll. More than 25 cities are on the tour itinerary.
