Favorite: schoolboy parodies
Since the start of the festival, film students from the Lycée Carnot have been making short parody films of the films that make the event at the Palais. Top Gun, Crimes of the Future by Cronenberg, Tori and Lokita Dardenne brothers and many others, they direct, manage sound and images, edit short films and star in them. The whole thing is shown on YouTube. Have they seen the films to which they pay homage? Not necessarily and the trailers often serve as their inspiration. It’s fun and often successful, especially the pastiche of the Dardenne brothers.
