Croatia hung by Albania and on the verge of elimination

The Croats were joined by Albania in the final minutes on Wednesday in Hamburg (2-2). Qualifying for the eighth place is getting complicated.

Croatia can bite their fingers. With a goal conceded in added time (90th + 5), Luka Modric’s teammates see their chances of qualifying for the round of 16 compromised. Croatia was held in check by Albania (2-2), Wednesday June 19 in Hamburg, during the group stage of Euro 2024. To try to reach the next round, the Croatians n They will have no choice but to beat Italy on the third day.

Having gotten off to a bad start in their match, Zlatko Dalic’s men were punished from the start by the Albanians. If the 2018 world vice-champions thought they had done the hardest part, they ended up breaking down with a goal from Klaus Gjasula. The latter took advantage of a poor opposing clearance to crucify Dominik Livakovic (90th + 5).

With this draw, the Albanians, coached by Sylvinho, are still alive. They will also play their qualification on the third day, against Spain. As for Croatia which will face Italy, any result other than a victory will be synonymous with elimination.
