Fortunately, the small island of Camino is connected by a bridge to Florida, and the majority of its inhabitants can evacuate it when the hurricane hits. Leo. Beneath the rubble, however, is Nelson Kerr, a member of the small community of writers who live there. Without falling into paranoia, some of his friends, including Bruce Cable, the owner of the island bookstore, suspect that Kerr’s death was not due to an accident. He was about to publish a shocking book denouncing big pharmaceutical companies and a network of long-term care homes. Cable and his band try to make the FBI aware of the case, but first have to fall back on an investigation firm that uncovers a heinous plot. The investigation is lost in useless detours and leaves a bitter taste of deja-vu.
