[Critique] “The Heartstopper Scrapbook,” Alice Oseman

Heartstopping is a global phenomenon, especially since young Brit Alice Oseman’s comic book series was successfully adapted for television: the first season aired on Netflix last year, with the second set to air this summer . By reading the four volumes of Heartstopping released to date, we quickly become attached to a gallery of adolescent characters having to juggle friendship, love, mental illness and bullying. Between the heroes, Charlie the nerd and Nick the athlete, unfolds an improbable love story, a very inspiring taming. To wait while waiting for the fifth and last volume of the series, which should arrive in November, we strongly suggest that you dive into this color souvenir album whose content is new. You will find portraits of the different protagonists, a bit like in a yearbook, boards that will allow aficionados a moving reunion, but also anecdotes and glimpses of the creative process of the author.
