[Critique] “Rush!”, Måneskin | The duty

We thought that after being revealed on the set of the show X-Factor Italy, then in front of the world at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021, the joke had gone on long enough, but it must be admitted that the glam rock quartet Måneskin continues to take itself seriously. so come Rush!sound 3ealbum, performed mostly in English for the first time, apart from a handful of songs in Italian at the end of the album, including this strange but urgent, almost post-punk, The Killers-style discharge about the assassin of John Lennon (Mark Chapman). Seventeen songs is a bit long (almost twice as long as on Teatro d’Ira: Vol. I2021), and necessarily unequal, at least in terms of writing: as much as the group can get us drunk on hard rock ballads like time zoneas his enthusiasm manages to win us over with little rock bombs with theatrical and catchy chorus like the extract gossip (with Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine), or still eyeing pop supermodelco-directed by dance monk Max Martin.
