[Critique] “Mireille Darc”, Mireille Darc

In double 33 laps, it is an understatement to say that the two photos of Mireille Darc have their effect. As in his films of the mid-1960s (Galia, The big grasshopper, sorrel flower, the whole period when Michel Audiard tailored his replies to her), she dazzles without ostentation. No one could resist the sacred kid, whom everything amused, including pushing the ditty between two close-ups. His extremely rare 45 rpm, his one and only 33 rpm released in 1968 (Compartment 23almost all written for her by the Maurice Vidalin-Jacques Datin duo), conceal between impulsive tunes some jewels nicely set in the psych-pop style of the jewelers of the time, Gainsbourg more than once (the rider, Helicopter, The black flag), but also Dutronc’s Jacques Lanzmann (for the self-portrait Mireille), the feverish composer Alain Goraguer for the amazing Weekend. We will mention for fun a charming duo Mireille-France Gall, Don’t try to please, where the big one advises the little one. Word acidulous is here more than appropriate.
