He is presented as a rapper or slammer, but in truth, Seba is above all a storyteller. His texts, very well written and anchored in his personal experience, germinate in our minds fun and colorful images. Today, the musician displays his love for Quebec folklore and country — even on the memorable cover! — on a mini-album of six songs to make you dance and, above all, smile. The list of collaborators gives weight to the argument in favor of a relationship between the prosody of rap and our musical tradition: it is indeed Yves Lambert that we hear on Weed, a text about his full beard. The traditional accordion serves a more rap rhythm on Since I could, Hand in the bag (here from chips) is a pure country song, while on The Tomcat and BBQwe feel him trying to repeat the success of vintage to the bone from four years ago. Finally, Patient can be heard as a tribute to La Bolduc, right down to the theme. It should jitter during his concert at the Francos on Monday at 8 p.m.
