Critics’ Choice TV Awards | Abbott Elementary and Better Call Saul lead the way

The series Abbott Elementary and Better Call Saul received six and five nominations respectively for the Critics Choice Television Awards, given each year by an association of American television critics.


The two favorite series of the public are closely followed by Booking Dog and The Good Fight who each have four nominations. The winners will be announced at the annual gala, which will take place in Los Angeles on January 15.

The “Cinderella” journey ofAbbott Elementary therefore continues. The popular ABC-produced series led by Quinta Brunson, nominated in the Best Actress category, is also in the (highly prized) Best Comedy Series category. Chris Perfetti and Tyler James Williams were both nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, while Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph also shared honors in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Better Call Saul finds itself in the best drama series category. Its main interpreter Bob Odenkirk is nominated in the category best actor in a drama series, while Giancarlo Esposito is nominated best actor in a supporting role in a drama series. Carol Burnett and Rhea Seehorn are competing for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The selection of the Critics Choice Awards for cinema will be revealed on December 14.
