Ukrainians are very nationalistic, recalls the journalist, who explains that “every night the national anthem sounds“. “I discussed with students who, the hand on the heart, said to me: ‘If it is necessary, we will take the weapons‘“, she continues, before adding that the Ukrainians “all want to avoid the slightest provocation, which could play into Vladimir Putin’s hands”.
