Difficult to determine the scenario for the next few days in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin promises a de-escalate but according to NATO, Russia continues to mass its troops on the country’s borders. The Ukrainian president has declared a “day of national unity” in the country.

In the Kyiv stadium (Ukraine) Wednesday morning February 16, there were a few hundred to meditate during the national anthem. The nation’s message is clear: they want to live in peace, at home, on their land. In the center of the capital, many passers-by also display the blue and yellow flag. “This day of unity is to remind the world that Ukraine exists, that we love it, that we appreciate it and that we are proud of our country, that we are true patriots” , said a woman.

Today, February 16, the Americans announced the start of a war in Ukraine. “If the problem arises, we will take care of it. You can’t live in constant fear.” says another Ukrainian. The departure of Russian soldiers at the gates of Ukraine, however, reassures some inhabitants. But more than 100,000 soldiers are still deployed. Some believe that the withdrawal of part of the military would in fact be a ruse.
