Built in the 9th century and enlarged in the 12th, the church of Cravant has a Renaissance style architecture unique in Burgundy and its impressive dimensions remind us that Cravant was a city of more than 3000 inhabitants.

During the Second World War, the underground aeronautical factory of Cravant was intended to assemble the French bomber Le O45. It was then occupied by the Germans and reconditioned to repair Focke-Wulf Fw 19012 fighters.

At the end of 1944, after the departure of the Nazi troops, the last copies were assembled for the French Normandy-Niémen squadron. The underground factory ceased its activity on February 18, 1946, after having delivered 70 devices.

Today the Aviatroglo association brings together amateurs interested in aviation, local history and more particularly the theme of the Second World War in Burgundy.
