A pilot suffered serious injuries on Saturday morning when a seaplane crashed into Lac des Sables, in Notre-Dame-Du-Laus, in the Laurentians.
The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. and patrol officers from the MRC Antoine-Labelle intervened to rescue the man, who was seriously injured in the accident.
“The pilot was transported to the hospital center, where he is being treated for serious injuries,” said agent Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), specifying that there would be no fear for his life.
Major crime investigators from the SQ as well as the Transportation Safety Board of Canada have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Remember that this accident is the fourth of its kind in less than a week, including a fatality which occurred last Sunday.
