According to Sportsnet hockey expert Elliotte Friedman in his “32 Thoughts” column, the organization concerned has expressed interest in the 40-year-old veteran. The latter had initialed a one-year, $750,000 agreement at the end of July and he has rendered great service to his team. This year, he went 12-9-1 with a 3.13 goals-against average and .901 save percentage.
The same source added that the Sabers are ready to wait before determining the continuation. Anderson will decide which avenue to take depending on his physical condition and ability to continue.
On a different note, Sportsnet reported that Buffalo should have some idea of young Devon Levi’s intentions in the coming days. Without a contract in his pocket, the 20-year-old Quebecer could return to Northeastern University next year. His rights belong to the Sabers for two more seasons.
