(Calgary) CPKC Women’s Open champions Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko and Megan Khang will be in attendance at the 2024 LPGA Tour event, which begins next week in Calgary.
Golf Canada and the CPKC unveiled the full competition field on Wednesday.
Six of the world’s top 10 female golfers will compete for top honors.
Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., won the event in Regina in 2018, becoming the first Canadian champion since Jocelyne Bourassa in 1973.
She is among 14 Canadians in the running, including Maude-Aimée Leblanc, from Sherbrooke, and Brigitte Thibault, from Rosemère.
Ko, of New Zealand, is a three-time winner of the event, while Khang, of the United States, is the defending champion.
Paula Reto, Ariya Jutanugarn and Brittany Lincicome, who have also won the competition before, will be part of the 2024 edition, which will begin on July 25 at the Earl Grey club.
Other notable competitors include world No. 2 Lilia Vu, No. 7 Hannah Green and No. 9 Rose Zhang.
Veteran Lexi Thompson will compete in her 11e and last CPKC Women’s Open, after announcing she would retire from professional golf at the end of the season.
