Coyotes win 4-2 over Predators

(Nashville) Lawson Crouse scored his second goal at 4:20 of the third period as the Arizona Coyotes defeated the Nashville Predators 4-2 on Monday night.


With the win, the Coyotes snapped a brief two-game road losing streak.

Crouse came close to completing his hat trick but couldn’t take advantage of an open net with 1:11 on the clock. Christian Fischer didn’t miss his chance with 52.9 seconds left.

Nick Schmaltz scored the other goal for the Coyotes, who capped their three-game road trip with the victory after back-to-back overtime losses.

Matias Maccelli, JJ Moser and Clayton Keller all had two assists.

Goaltender Karel Vejmelka blocked 29 pucks and was credited with the win.

The Coyotes are 3-0-3 in their last six meetings.

Defenseman Roman Josi and Colton Sissons scored for the Predators, who were playing the first of three straight home games.
