What are the differences between the health pass and the vaccination pass? The vaccination pass comes into force on Monday January 24 for people aged 16 and over in mainland France. Reporting.

Monday, January 24, the rules of our social lives will change again. The new vaccination pass will be compulsory to access bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, sports halls and interregional transport. On the other hand, it will not be compulsory to enter the hospital or a nursing home. Political rallies are also not affected by the new pass. Ditto for the DOM-TOM, where each prefect will decide later on its entry into force.

In metropolitan France, restaurateurs will be able to check the identity of customers in case of doubt. The vaccination pass is an additional constraint for some traders who are not reassured. “It will further restrict the number of spectators who have the opportunity to come to the cinema”, explains Catherine Poitevin, assistant director of the Ajaccio cinema (South Corsica). Everyone over the age of 16 is affected by this new health measure.
