While the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron, is causing concern, France is launching the coronavirus vaccine recall campaign on Saturday, November 27. The third dose is available to all adults.
There was a crowd on Saturday, November 27 in a Metz Covid-19 vaccination center (Moselle). In the queue, many are under 40. To meet the demand, the center manager, Stéphane Jacopin, reminded staff urgently: five doctors and nine nurses. Thanks to them, the center will be able to vaccinate up to 1,500 people today. “This is my third injection and it is very reassuring for me”, says a delighted man.
The deputy mayor in charge of health is reassuring about the stock of doses. 1000 vials are waiting in the refrigerator and more will arrive. “There will be doses for everyone, that’s for sure”, assure Khalife Khalife. Anyone over 18 can get their booster dose as long as they had their second injection at least five months ago.
