The peak of the fifth wave of the Covid-19 is taking place “at the moment” declared Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health. With the health situation and with the approach of the end-of-year holidays, Ehpad redouble their vigilance and strengthen their protocols.
Sharing a meal with the family is a pleasure that residents of a Ehpad located in Limoges (Haute-Vienne) have recently found, eventhis requires respecting a strict sanitary protocol. These measures have been in place since August. Face to the new wave of Covid-19, the Regional Health Agency however this week sent a letter to all establishments, with new recommendations.
“We are again asked to organize the visits by appointment so as to avoid too much influx at the same time, but above all by not limiting the coming of each other.“, explains Jean-Christophe Moriceau, director ofEhpad Leobardy from Limoges. OWe already apply distances at the table and barrier gestures here, cThe new recommendations therefore do not change everyday life. The fear for the establishment would be to have to close.
