Quebec reports eight new deaths linked to COVID-19 on Monday and one more person hospitalized than the day before.
There are currently 2,345 hospitalizations, including 128 new admissions and 127 new discharges. There are 86 people in intensive care, a decrease of four from Sunday.
A total of 9,362 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, down 1,471 from Friday.
The death toll now stands at 14,874.
The Ministry of Health reports 1,305 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 1,033,925 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 194,269 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 158,552 positives. For the day on Sunday, 555 tests were declared, including 441 positive.
The Ministry of Health reports that 13,102 tests were carried out on Sunday and the positivity rate is 12.5%.
Regarding vaccination, 8744 doses were administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 87% received at least two doses and 54% received a third dose.
