Quebec reports Tuesday 32 new deaths linked to COVID-19 and an increase in hospitalizations.
There are currently 2,409 hospitalizations, an increase of 64 hospitalized patients since the last assessment, published on Monday. There are 90 people in intensive care, up four from Monday.
A total of 9,416 healthcare workers are absent for COVID-19-related reasons, up 54 from Monday.
The death toll now stands at 14,906.
The Ministry of Health reports 1,670 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 1,035,595 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 195,583 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 159,662 positives. For the day on Monday, 629 tests were declared, including 508 positive.
The Ministry of Health reports that 12,631 tests were carried out on Sunday and the positivity rate is 12.6%.
With regard to vaccination, 28,159 doses administered are added, ie 22,303 in the last 24 hours and 5,856 before April 25.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 87% received at least two doses and 54% received a third dose.
