COVID-19: Quebec has 31 more deaths

Quebec reports 31 new deaths from COVID-19 on Wednesday, as the decline in hospitalizations continues.

The Department of Health reports 2,348 hospitalizations, down 32 from Tuesday. Of these patients, 171 are in intensive care, a decrease of seven.

The death toll reaches 13,582.

In addition, 3,361 new cases have been reported, for a total of 889,057 since the start of the pandemic. However, this total is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.

A total of 72,070 rapid tests, including 55,794 positives, have been self-reported so far on the platform put online by the government. For the day on Tuesday, 990 tests were declared, including 763 positive.

The Ministry of Health indicates that 23,172 analyzes were carried out on Tuesday, and Quebec has a positivity rate of 11.5%.

Regarding vaccination, 35,044 doses have been administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.
