With the resumption of the epidemic of Covid-19, a question arises. Should we restore free tests ? The number of PCRs and antigens carried out has dropped, which could mask the real figures of the resurgence of the virus.

Indeed, since the end of October, they are paying: 25 euros for an antigen in pharmacy, and 44 euros for a PCR in laboratory; which would slow down many French people to be tested.
In a pharmaceutical laboratory visited by France Télévisions teams, we can perform up to 10,000 tests per day, but only 150 are made daily since they became chargeable. “It has gone down a lot. Today, attendance is only people who travel, because the PCR is mandatory to travel to other countries“, specifies Carole Gutsmuth, laboratory director Biogroup of Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine). Same observation in another pharmacy or tests have been halved since October 15. “The people who do not come to the pharmacy are the people who are not vaccinated“, explains Bruno Fellous, pharmacist at Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine).
