However, no player was infected, since it was general manager Marc-André Bergeron and assistant coach Pascal Rhéaume who tested positive for the virus.

The Lions have also announced that they have awarded contracts to forwards Thomas Éthier and Olivier Hinse. The former played in the Canadian university circuit, for the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, while the latter was a member of the North American Hockey League.

The day before, the skaters Cédric Desruisseaux, Guillaume Beaudoin and Anthony Pagliarulo had received a positive result. At that time, the Mauricie organization added that its two games scheduled against the Newfoundland Growlers, Wednesday and Thursday, had been postponed.

On Monday, the Lions had carried out a wave of hiring, offering contracts to seven players, namely Nicolas Larivière, Tristan Bérubé, Mathieu Brisebois, Christophe Losier, Gabriel Verpaelst, Philippe Charbonneau and André Bouvet-Morissette.
