COVID-19: More than 1,100 cases in Quebec

Quebec has maintained itself above 1,000 new cases in the past 24 hours, for a second consecutive day.

The province reported 1,171 new infections on Saturday, compared to 1,037 on Friday. Three new deaths were also added to the toll.

Hospitalizations remained stable (205, -1), while 48 people were in intensive care (+5).

Since the start of the pandemic, 445,756 people have been infected with the virus and 11,574 have died from it.

On the Ontario side, the number of cases fell slightly from 917 Friday to 854 Saturday. The country’s most populous province has also recorded two new deaths.

Hospitalizations have decreased (254, +14), as has the number of people in intensive care (134, -6).

On the western side of the country, Saskatchewan recorded 73 cases and five deaths in its report on Saturday. New Brunswick also updated its data and added 85 new cases.
