Prime Minister Justin Trudeau received his COVID-19 booster dose on Tuesday morning at an Ottawa pharmacy.

He was given a first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine last April, before receiving a dose of Moderna in July.
“Go get the vaccine,” the Prime Minister said seconds after his injection.
As of December 20, all people 18 years of age and over are eligible to receive their booster dose in Ontario.
Hours later, Mr. Trudeau will meet with Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Theresa Tam, to get an update on the evolution of the pandemic in the country.
On Monday evening, Mr. Trudeau published a series of tweets promoting financial support measures for individuals and businesses that will lose income with the new health restrictions.
“The Omicron variant is spreading rapidly and new restrictions are coming into effect in several places across the country. No one wanted to start the year like this. But I want you to know that we will continue to provide you with the necessary support, ”we read.
