Vaccination still divides the French just a few days before Christmas, while Covid-19 cases have increased in recent weeks.

Who says end-of-year holidays, says period conducive to the transmission of viruses. Just a few days before Christmas, vaccination is still divisive. “I think I’m immune, and anyway, I’ll do the test first. We’re a little fed up with vaccines”, confided a woman, Tuesday December 19. In a pharmacy in Dijon (Côte-d’Or), since the start of the vaccination campaign last October, 448 people have been immunized against flu and Covid-19.

Respect barrier gestures

In Burgundy-Franches-Comté, Covid-19 is progressing. At the beginning of December, more than 60 cases per 100,000 inhabitants were recorded in the region. “Even if you are young and have the ability to resist the virus, other people cannot be vaccinated (…) So you will serve as a shield for these people.”, explains Rémy Belin, preparer at the Republic pharmacy. To have a peaceful holiday, taking a test and respecting barrier gestures are strongly recommended.
