The number of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 has increased in Quebec, according to the public health report released on Wednesday.

A total of 1,934 Quebecers occupy a hospital bed, including 627 due to COVID-19, 16 more than the day before.
Of this number, 45 people are in intensive care, four less compared to Tuesday’s report.
Six additional deaths have also been added to the toll: three deaths occurred in the past 24 hours and three more occurred between two and seven days ago.
Quebec has also reported 1,028 new cases of COVID-19 detected in screening centers, and 135 rapid tests whose results turned out to be positive were self-reported during the day on Tuesday.
In addition, 3,715 healthcare workers are absent from the network due to the virus, for preventive withdrawal, isolation or awaiting results.
