Covid-19 cases continue to increase in France. In response, the start date of the vaccination campaign was brought forward by two weeks, to October 2. What are the rules to follow in the workplace in the event of infection?

In a Parisian pharmacy, Covid-19 tests have been making a comeback for several weeks. The increase in cases should not, however, lead to a change in the rules in force, particularly in businesses. Rules that are sometimes vague today. There is no longer any need to isolate if you test positive. In the event of infection, teleworking is recommended, but it is permitted to go to your workplace, even if certain practices are still strongly recommended.

Wear a mask and ventilate

“The element which will limit this risk, it is obvious, is the fact of wearing a mask tightly – a surgical mask, ideally FFP2 -, and above all, to avoid contaminating colleagues, to ventilate the rooms”recalls Dr. Benjamin Davidoinfectious disease specialist at the Raymond Poincaré hospital in Garches (Hauts-de-Seine). To try to counter the increase in cases, the vaccination campaign has just been brought forward by two weeks, and is due to begin on October 2.
