These new cases bring the daily average calculated over seven days to 1,857. The trend is thus up 62% over one week. However, the cases are less representative due to limitations in access to PCR screening tests.

A total of 1,088 people are hospitalized across the province. This is an increase of 10% over one week. In intensive care, the 56 patients represent a 24% increase over one week.

The five new deaths bring the daily average to 9. The trend is down 26% over one week. In all, 14,324 Quebecers have succumbed to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

In total, 86.7% of Quebecers received a first dose of vaccine against COVID-19 and 82.9% received two doses. Half of Quebecers have received their third dose.

The Director of Public Health, Luc Boileau, has not yet launched a national campaign for the administration of a fourth dose of vaccine for all, he recalled in a press briefing on Sunday.
