Authorities reported 3,147 new infections on Friday, bringing the daily average to 2,956. The trend is thus down 5% over one week. These figures likely reflect only a portion of the total number, due to limited access to PCR screening tests.
Currently, 2,153 people are hospitalized in connection with COVID-19. Of these, 96 are in intensive care, a stable number compared to the previous day.
