Covid-19 contaminations are increasing in Moselle, the impact is limited to the hospital

Several indicators show that the Covid-19 epidemic is rising slightly in Moselle. The incidence rate was 1,143 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on March 10, with an increase of 19.64% over seven days, according to data communicated by the government site on Monday.

The number of contaminations on a daily basis increases in the same proportions. But in Moselle hospitals, the figures remain low. The white plans were even lifted in the hospitals of the department. 19 people are hospitalized every day on average and 3 people enter critical care every day.

We are therefore far from the figures at the start of the epidemic, where more than a hundred people were hospitalized daily in April 2020, and where around twenty people entered intensive care each day.

This Monday, 362 patients were hospitalized for Covid-19 in the department, including 31 in critical care. The occupancy rate of hospital beds in Moselle dedicated to Covid-19 was only 34%.

Today, more than 800,900 people are fully vaccinated, out of just over a million inhabitants in Moselle.
