Ten other Quebecers with COVID-19 have died, according to the report released Friday, which also signals a drop in hospitalizations related to the disease.
Of the deaths announced on Friday, only one occurred in the past 24 hours. Two date back two to seven days and seven to more than seven days.
Since the start of the pandemic, Quebec has deplored 18,298 deaths attributed to the disease.
Hospitalizations also continued to decline and fell below 1,200. As of Friday, 1,190 patients were hospitalized with COVID-19, including 382 due to the disease, which represents a drop of 25 since the previous day. .
In intensive care, there is a decrease of one patient, for a total of 31. Of this number, 16 are treated specifically for the disease.
Cases remain at a fairly low level, at 365, but this data should always be taken with a grain of salt due to the limited access to screening centers. Quebecers reported 20 positive rapid tests on Thursday.
