The Quebec U18 AAA Hockey Development League provided some context for the many cases of COVID-19 confirmed at the end of the U18 AAA Challenge which took place in Saguenay between December 15 and 19.
The Daily reported, in its December 27 edition, that several cases of the virus had been identified since the conclusion of the event bringing together a total of 19 teams, including the 15 of the M18 AAA development circuit. Players, coaches, recruiters, volunteers and spectators have all been infected. The Chevaliers de Lévis, finalists of the tournament in front of the Phoenix of the Esther-Blondin College, champion of the 2021 edition, received nine positive cases.
