COVID-19: 478 new cases and 5 deaths in Quebec

Quebec reported the same number of new COVID-19 cases – 478 – on Thursday as the day before, while there was a sharp increase in Ontario, with the province experiencing significant variation from day to day.

In addition to 478 cases, the Belle Province has reported five additional deaths, posting a cumulative portrait of 424,291 cases and 11,490 fatalities after 20 months of the pandemic. The seven-day daily case average is now 419.

Hospitalizations decreased slightly (254, -3), after 19 admissions and 22 discharges. In intensive care, there is a small increase (67, +1), after nine admissions and eight discharges.

In Ontario, 409 cases and three deaths have been added to statistics for the province, which so far has 598,840 infections and 9,865 deaths. The day before, we had diagnosed 321 patients and mentioned 10 deaths. Hospitalizations declined (197, -18), including in intensive care (132, -2).

  • 14,376 doses administered are added, i.e. 13,174 in the last 24 hours and 1,202 before October 27, for a total of 13,209,715 doses administered in Quebec
  • Outside Quebec, a total of 215,977 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 13,425,692 doses received by Quebecers.
