This decision also hits the women’s selection, excluded from Euro 2022 in England. The federation must therefore await the final judgment of the case, the date of which has not yet been communicated.
Regarding the men’s selection, excluded from the play-offs for the World Cup in Qatar by the International Football Federation (Fifa), Artem Dzyuba’s teammates are not yet fixed. The CAS must render a decision before the weekend on whether or not to suspend this sanction, there again time to judge the case.
For the moment, Poland is directly qualified for the second round of the play-offs. She announced her refusal to play against Sbornaïa in a joint statement with Sweden and the Czech Republic, potential opponents of the Russians.
