Council of Ministers | Bonnardel goes to Public Security

(Quebec) François Bonnardel and Geneviève Guilbault switch roles. The MNA for Granby will be at the head of Public Security, while his colleague from Louis-Hébert and Deputy Premier is confirmed at the helm of Transport.

For his part, Mathieu Lacombe moves from Family to Culture and Communications. Jean Boulet will only have the role of Minister of Labour. The first Aboriginal woman elected to the National Assembly, Kateri Champagne Jourdain, would inherit Employment; Christine Fréchette, from Immigration.

Martine Biron would be appointed Minister of International Relations.

It was also indicated in the morning that Pierre Fitzgibbon would become superminister, combining Economy and Energy. Benoit Charette would remain at Environment.

We already know that Christian Dubé will remain at the helm of Health. Lionel Carmant will remain Minister Delegate for Health and Social Services. The former CEO of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, Sonia Bélanger, would complete the health trio. The great financier of the government will remain Eric Girard, at the head of Finance.

Prime Minister François Legault will unveil the composition of his cabinet at 2 p.m.
