Tuesday May 24 in Texas, in Uvalde, Salvador Ramos killed 19 children and two teachers in a school. Thanks to the various reports, many elements of the killing are known and the families complain of the inaction of the authorities.

A shooting that plunged the United States into anger, sadness and horror. To Uvalde21 people were murdered on Tuesday, May 24 by Salvador Ramos. The investigation is progressing and questions arise about the police intervention deemed too late. Half an hour after the killing, the authorities were surrounding the school, but already the families were complaining about the lack of intervention. “The cops are outside, they don’t do anything” complains one of the parents on an amateur video.

The shooting would have lasted between half an hour and 40 minutes and many are wondering if an intervention was possible? An officer interviewed thinks that nope. “Certainlywe failed because we could not prevent this attack (…) but the police officers present on this site put their lives in danger and saved children”. The killer was very prepared, he had previously bought weapons and left his job.
