7-Eleven stores are in Alimentation Couche-Tard’s sights.
The parent company of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain said Monday it had received a purchase offer from Couche-Tard.
Seven & i Holdings, a Japan-based company, said it has formed a special committee to evaluate the proposal.
“Neither the board of directors nor the special committee have decided at this stage to accept or reject Alimentation Couche-Tard’s proposal, to enter into discussions with Alimentation Couche-Tard or to pursue another transaction,” it is specified in a press release.
