Alimentation Couche-Tard has signed an agreement to purchase 112 gas stations and convenience stores from MAPCO Express in the United States.
Financial terms of the agreement are not immediately available.
The agreement is conditional on a separate transaction that will see MAPCO and its other sites acquired by Majors Management LLC.
The Quebec company says that the sites it buys are mainly in Tennessee and Alabama, but also in Kentucky and Georgia.
Couche-Tard says the locations are company-operated and most of the real estate is owned by it.
The transaction also includes surplus goods and a logistics fleet.
According to Couche-Tard, the transaction is expected to close in the second half of calendar year 2023.
