Côte-Saint-Luc | A motorist flees after hitting a pedestrian

A woman in her twenties was hit Sunday evening by a motorist who fled the scene shortly after.

Around 9 p.m., the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called to go to Côte-Saint-Luc. The collision occurred on Cavendish Boulevard, at the intersection of Heywood Road. The victim, aged between 25 and 30, according to agent Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the SPVM, was then found on the ground.

She had apparent injuries to her upper body and was taken to a hospital. At the time of writing, the police did not have further information on the victim’s condition.

“The vehicle fled the scene of the accident,” said Mme Gauthier, and investigators were dispatched there. The SPVM also ensures that it will view surveillance cameras in order to find the vehicle involved.
