Côte-des-Neiges | A woman shot dead while driving her vehicle

A woman was shot dead at the wheel of her moving vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.


The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) indicates that it was notified around 4:30 p.m. that a person had been shot by several calls received by the 911 central.

The incident occurred not far from the intersection of rue Jean-Talon Ouest and rue de la Savane, in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police quickly located the victim, whose identity is still unknown, who had several gunshot wounds. His death was pronounced at the scene.

According to information collected on the spot, a suspect would have shot in the direction of the victim before fleeing. Reached while her vehicle was still in motion, the woman then hit a building.

Research is underway to find the suspect and a perimeter has been set up on site to allow investigators and forensic identification technicians to do their job.
