While the Tour de France is back on the road after a day’s break, two riders from the AG2R-Citroën formation will not get back on their bikes. Aurélien Paret-Painter but also Mickaël Chérel from the Côte d’Azur. The resident of Roquefort-les-Pins, who at 36 is probably competing in his last Tour de France, unfortunately goes out the back door. Both riders underwent tests in Carcassonne yesterday which turned out to be positive. The team, in agreement with the management of the Tour, has therefore decided not to let them leave. Tough decision for the French formation which suddenly only have 3 reps left on the big loop.
