Goodbye itching
Good news for eczema-prone skin. The Quebec brand Chanv, which has been promoting hemp oil products for more than 15 years now, has just launched a brand new cream. Intended to relieve the peaks of eczema, but also insect bites, poison ivy and other unpleasant itches, the product is also composed of colloidal oatmeal (2%), chaga (mushroom Nordic with soothing properties), neem oil (hydrating and regenerating), aloe vera and raspberry seed oil. Verdict? Tested over several weeks and with each episode of crisis with us, the results are unequivocal: the cream, with its delicate mint scent, has a frank and instant refreshing effect. No more itching upon application, and for a given time. Certainly, this product will not replace your usual medicated cream. But if you’re looking to reduce its use, this is a proven option to consider.

Revive your colored hair
It is a teenager with red hair severely damaged by two years of coloring / bleaching that we entrusted to the expert care of stylist and colorist Jason Williams, at the Espace K salon. His mission was to provide a Chroma Absolu treatment by Kérastase in the hope of getting a hair less grichou. The formula includes various acids and a plant with healing properties, the Centella asiatica. The promise of the range: to tackle the three main challenges with which color-treated hair struggles: porosity, frizz and color fading over time. One thing is certain, at the exit of the Espace K salon, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, the little bright red head was smoother and shiny than ever. For optimal results, the products must be used for weeks, which we could not do. However, we were able to take advantage of a few samples which already seemed to confirm the great potential of the range to bring life back to hair left for dead! The seven products in the Chroma Absolu range cost between $47 (“bath”, read shampoo) and $74 (mask) and can be purchased at the Espace K salon as well as in several other high-end salons carrying the Kérastase brand.
Lisa Noto’s gentle care
I first discovered Lisa Noto with her eye contour cream. Simple and very rich, a thousand miles from the technological treatments of most beauty giants. Here, we play with purity. To properly judge the range, I added the floral water spray — bought online, like the rest of the range, which is hard to find elsewhere. Confirmed philosophy: we are all soft, light. The two products go together perfectly: a small cloud of water with an invigorating flower and an eye cream that is made to overflow a little (a lot!) from the prescribed area and presto! the day (or night!) is off to a good start!

For a little shine that feels good
Fenty Skin continues to expand its range of beauty and make-up products. Affordable and of good quality, the offer of the mark of the singer Rihanna has the potential to delight more than one. New addition: Pre-Show Glow Exfoliator lives up to the reputation of Fenty Skin, sister brand to Fenty Beauty. The product, which can be applied before makeup, comes with a reusable applicator whose fabric is not aggressive for more sensitive skin. The application is fast, just let the product penetrate (vegan!) for about 60 seconds. After a few moments, the skin is ready, with a little extra shine. Makeup applied on top does not take on unwanted texture and even leaving only the serum on bare skin, the “ glow promised lasts for a while. Use once or twice a week.
